So often I meet people who know about God, but they are having a hard time growing in a relationship with God, because they simply don't KNOW God. So years ago, God laid on my heart to "feed the hungry".
But I couldn't feed someone something I hadn't first feasted on myself (I couldn't teach someone something I didn't know), so I went to God for help. For me, it started with my Coat of Many Colors, as God started growing me in His Word, personally.
As I walked through my Bible, God's Word expanded in my heart in different ways, so I started tabbing them, and then using a "color" system to help me to see what He was teaching me. Later, as I became stronger in His Word, I came to understand how much He really loved me, and just as Jacob had given his beloved son a coat of many colors, God had given me one!
Now I can see where I am in my walk, in different stages (and seasons).
Along the way, God took me on a very personal journey to the Cross, and this is what I would like to share with you. And, if you will let me, I would like to walk with YOU (as you journey to the Cross), and see what Jesus went through for you. My friend, His journey to the Cross isn't just the Friday through Sunday of His death and resurrection!
Though we have several books, and many devotionals and studies on our website, this blog is specifically for our Growing With God Series. And I would like to encourage you to consider purchasing our Stepping Stones (part 1 and 2) and then meeting with us here (at YOUR OWN PACE), to comment and share insights God gives you as you follow His steps. Also, you may use this blog to ask questions you might have about certain verses....
Part 1 is a short book which gives you suggestions (and a few tips) on HOW to start in His Word. Part 2 is a complete (and harmonized) study of all four Gospels.
I will be giving links to various summaries, and previews in a later post. and as we actually get into the study (in part 2) I will be breaking the 273 steps into "reading assignments" which can be done at your own pace. It is my hope that as you go through these lessons, you will grow in your walk, and will come back here and post your comments under the lessons as you complete them.
ALSO-- for anyone who completes this journey, I will be sending them a "certificate of completion" as a keepsake of your walk through the Gospels.
I hope you will take some time to pray about this journey, I truly believe you will be forever blessed by it!
Have a wonderful day!
Kassie
